Since its creation, Balt has always been one step ahead in the development of innovative products for neurovascular therapy, and today Balt products are used by clinicians in over 100 countries worldwide.
In 2015, this initially French family company made a strategic move: it decided to give new impetus to its development by significantly investing in its international growth plan. Execution of this plan was then implemented to ensure global commercial growth, with particular attention paid to expansion in the United States. Historically, the company was located in two sites, Montmorency in France and Gland in Switzerland. In 2016, the company acquired a medical device startup company (Blockade Medical) in California and expanded the US operations to include a state-of-the-art production facility. Additionally in 2015, Balt began to acquire a number of its distributor partners and to create new offices in strategic markets. Today Balt is comprised of ten locations (in the US, Switzerland, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, India, China and Brazil) on three continents.
